We invite you to expand your search for photographs by visiting our fully searchable photograph database Digital Horizons. Here you may view thousands of additional photographs preserved at the Institute for Regional Studies. The approximately one thousand images we included on American Memory are only a very small portion of our total photographic holdings. The Institute currently preserves over 100,000 images spanning from the early settlement era up to the present.  We are now pleased to be able to provide online access to some of these additional photographs.

Currently we have over 5000 additional images digitized with full descriptive information on Digital Horizons, and additional images are being mounted weekly. These images cover all time periods and many more subject areas than are in our American Memory collection.
