Peter Rudd is credited as a photographer in only the 1900 census. He was born on January 9, 1873 in Oslo, Norway. He came with his parents to America in 1882 and settled in Fargo.
From 1891 to 1909 he worked for the P.G. Dry Goods store, and in 1909 he opened his own dry goods store.
From 1917 to 1924 he worked as a bookkeeper for Midland Produce Company. He attended chiropractic school, but by 1930 he was working as a bookkeeper once again at Sherwood Lumber. He worked there until his retirement in 1950. As a side job Peter worked as a musician.
He married Ellen Olsen August 24, 1899 in Fargo, and they had two sons named Rudolph and Millard. Peter died on October 10, 1957 at the age of 84. (See biography on his brother Harold M. Rudd).
