New
German-Russian Foods Videotape Available
The Germans from Russia Cultural Preservation Foundation and the
NDSU Libraries, Fargo, has produced a new documentary videotape,
"Recipes from Grandma's Kitchen, Volume 1: Germans from Russia
Food Preparation and Traditions".
Traditional foods, savory recipes, and folk memories are important
in the history and culture of the Germans from Russia community.
"Recipes from Grandma's Kitchen" provides step-by-step
detailed cooking and ingredients. There are vignettes of culinary
memories that feed the soul and warm the heart.

ND preparing Pheasant Paprikash Soup and dessert Strudel; Alma Janke
Schott, Gackle, ND preparing Christmas Tea Ring; Bernadine Lang
