The Dakota Memories Oral History Project is largely funded through private donations.  These donations allow us to continue conducting more interviews, thus recording the life histories and memories of more Germans from Russia.  Every oral history provides additional insight into the region’s rich ethnic history, heritage, and culture.  In other words, all financial donations help us preserve a living legacy for the next generation.
