Obazda
Heather E. Chapman, e-mail message to Michael Miller.
1 onion
250 g soft brie cheese (don't buy the cheapest stuff)
75 g soft butter
75 g soft butter
1 tbsp. Hungarian Paprika
1/2 - 1 tbsp. ground cumin
salt
fresh ground pepper
some chopped parsley
Cut the onion into small cubes, slice the cheese. Mix the cheese
and the butter until it is smooth. Add the onion, the paprika and
the cumin as well as salt and pepper and stir again.
If you prefer a more orange color, add more paprika. Top everything
with the chopped parsley so it looks pretty and let it sit outside
of the fridge for about one hour before serving. Serve with some
dark, heavy bread of Bavarian Brezen! |
