Johann was 21 years old and because of the Russian Army he came to the U.S. He left Bremen Germany on 2 October 1900 on the ship Kosserin Maria Theresia. He arrived at the port of New York City on 11 October 1900. He traveled to Aberdeen, South Dakota on 23 November 1904. Johanna Schwartzenberger, Napoleon, North Dakota.
