Card for Anton G. Schatz, Napoleon, North Dakota
|
"Come With Me"
God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arm around him
And whispered “Come With Me”.
With tearful eyes we watched
Him suffer and saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
His golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best…….

rural school near the St. Boniface Church completing the eighth
grade. He spent two years with the 766th Co. of the Civilian

diesel mechanics, and worked as a heavy equipment operator,
moving buildings, drilling wells, building roads and dams.
On November 5, 1945 Tony was united in marriage to Anna Feist
and farmed on the family farm near St. Boniface. Moving to
a farm west of Tappen in 1947 he farmed for two years until
returning to the family farm. He retired from farming in 1979
and moved to Napoleon, ND. He then worked for Kuhn Manufacturing,
Logan County, and planted trees for ASCS for 13 years. He
was also a land assessor, a member of the School Board, a
