The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to provide
this 75th diamond jubilee book of Jud, LaMoure County, in south
central North Dakota.
For researchers, the "Family Biographies Section" is
of most importance. Germans from Russia families include: Ehman,
Ehmann, Elhard, Flemmer, Fode, Fregien, Gahner, Herr, Jahn, Kalmbach,
Kruger, Kuhn, Mirtz, Nitschke, Pfaff, Rempfer, Schlenker, Sperling
and Stroh.
Many of the family in the Jud area came from Bessarabia.

and Catherine (Hanneld) Jahn. Nick was born in 1856 in Klöstitz,
Bessarabia immigrating to America in 1881. Catherine was born
in 1871 near Odessa, Russia (Ukraine). She came to America
in 1885 settling near Menno, SD. |
Gottlieb
and Christina (Schultz) Rempfer family. They were married in
Russia and lived there for two years before immigrating to America
in 1892. |

Johann and Louise (Tiede)
Sperling family. They were married in 1871 and lived in Klöstitz,
Bessarabia for 15 years, immigrating to America in 1886. |
Jacob
and Katherine (Schlenker) Fode. Jacob was born in Russia in
1862. Katherine was born in 1863. They immigrated in 1897 with
small children to New York. |
