Gwen Bernice Black Pritzkau 1932 - 2006
In loving memory of our beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother,
great grandmother and friend. Gwen was born on September 7, 1932
to Ward Black and Hilda B. Marshall in Salina, Utah. She grew up
in Salt Lake City where she met and married Julius Pritzkau in 1948.
Being a wife, mother and grandmother was her greatest joy. Gwen
spent her entire life serving and loving her family and friends.
Gwen retired from the Salt Lake County library and was a co-founder
of Glueckstal Colony Research Association (GRCA). Through her faithful
and tireless efforts in GR research she has touched thousands of
lives and will be remembered by many. Survived by husband Julius;
eight children, Kathy (Mike) Brixey, Kyle, Lyle, Lori, Diann Bailey,
Julie (Clark) Bleazard, Jolene (Brent) Dotson and Shelley Pritzkau;
19 Grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A private Service to
celebrate her life will be held for family and close friends at
Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W., Thursday, May 4th, 11:00
a.m. She will be laid to rest at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500
So. 1700 W.
