The NDSU Libraries have outgrown its current Library facilities.  Back issues of journals, books, large serial runs, government documents and microforms are housed in an off-site storage facility, the Annex. All items are available by pull-service request.

As a pilot program, the Annex is now offering free e-mail delivery of articles (from microforms and paper journals) to Faculty, Staff, Graduate and Undergraduate students to their NDSU e-mail. You can still opt to receive physical journal or book materials and choose the library where you would like to pick it up.  It does take a little longer for items to be delivered to the branch libraries. You can also request to have microfilm or microfiche delivered to the Main Library, and a microform machine is now available in the reference area.

Items that are in our Annex are identified in the online catalog by the location “Off-Campus Storage Annex.” All NDSU and Tri-College students, faculty & staff with a valid photo ID may borrow materials from the Library Annex Storage; regular Library circulation policies apply to the Annex.

Library Annex Storage facility is open by appointment to NDSU faculty, staff & students.

Please note that all materials from the Institute for Regional Studies and University Archives collections that are located in the “Off-Campus Storage Annex” are non-circulating. To obtain access to these materials, contact the archives staff at (701) 231-8914.
