John Bye retires from the Institute for Regional Studies and University Archives after 38 years

The Institute for Regional Studies and University Archives bid farewell to John Bye after 38 years of service to NDSU.

John started his career with the Institute in August 1973 when he was first hired as a serial librarian in the library. He was promoted as the archivist for the Institute of Regional Studies in 1975. He was later named the director for the Institute in 2005. John's leadership has shaped the Institute for Regional Studies into one of North Dakota's top historical research centers. He will be greatly missed.  We wish John well with his future endeavors.
