A published family history of the descendants of Lars & Martha Berg as been donated to the Institute for Regional Studies Archives book collection. The book is by the donors, Don and Adele Reierson, of Fargo, N.D. The family originated in Trysil, Hedmark, Norway and settled in Wiser Township, Cass County, North Dakota in the 1880s. The book is 490 pages long with numerous family photographs and an index and family health history in the back.
Rod Oppegard of Dazey, North Dakota has recently donated the Golden Anniversary history book of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Kenmare, North Dakota, dated July 13th, 1952. The congregation was founded on November 27, 1901, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Christianson. In the summer of 1908, a church building was constructed. Rev. Sigurd Fladmark was the first pastor. The book contains a short history of the church, a dedication to Mr. and Mrs.

The book is an account of the John and Alfreda Bowman family who homesteaded in Sections 9 and 10 of Grand River township, Bowman County, North Dakota. Thank you Rod for your generous donation.
