North Dakota Federation of Women's Clubs Pioneer Mother Project Records

The North Dakota Federation of Women's Clubs Pioneer Mother Project Records contains information on women who lived in North Dakota prior to statehood in 1889. The project began in 1929 and continued until at least 1953. The data, microfilmed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota, where the originals are housed, is arranged by complete and incomplete biographies. The microfilm, on 5 reels, is located in the Institute Microforms Area. (Call No.: Microfilm CT3260.N56)

Reel 1 contains an incomplete alphabetical index which is also available in printed form in the Institute Research Room. The biographical sketches are now indexed and part of the North Dakota Biography Index.
