dc.description The topic is leafy spurge, a weed problematic to several states in the US. Insects and herbicides have been used to address this. However, success is can not be guaranteed. The article concerns itself with the potentiality of biological apporaches and their success with research. They display reasons to be both optimistic and to be pessimistic. the authors offer that the potential for biological control of this weed which appeared to outweigh the negative attributes the plant possesses. The various biological avenues, insects and micro-organisms, for the treatment of leafy spurge are reviewed. The authors conclude with their future projections for research on this topic.
