Renting additional farmland continues as an important way of gaining resource control for North Dakota farmers. Cash rentals were used in over one-half of the leases studied, but the average rate was lower than in 1976. County census data analyzed indicated that part owners operated nearly two-thirds of the commercial land in farms in 1974. |
