Author: Orr, Paul; Nelson, Donald C.; Secor, Gary A.; Hahn, Deborah; Farnsworth, Bryce; Johansen, Robert H.
Description: The article concerns the then new, bright, red-skinned potato variety, named Redsen, released in March 1983. The breeding history of this variety is given in brief. Also, the significance of the role of the potato crop in North Dakota as an appreciable source of income for the state. It's appearance is similar to that of it's predecessor, the Bison, though it was much more vigorous and better developed. It's resistances are reviewed along with several four year trials.
