dc.description In 1988 in North Dakota, white grubs continued to cause damage and yield reductions in field corn, especially throughout the sandhill areas of Cass, ransom and Richland. Although there were already three insecticides registered for white grub control in corn, it was deemed best to continue evaluation of these compounds to determine possible changes in their efficacy as well as to evaluate unregistered candidate insecticides for potential efficacy against this past. A test was conducted to determine the best stand protection against the white grubs. The results yielded none as being statistically superior to any of the others although numerical differences did exist.
