Title: Eddy County Ground Water Pilot Survey
Author: Ulmer, Al; Meyer, R.F.
Description: For much of North Dakota, ground water is the dominant source of drinking water. water can become contaminated by agricultural treatments such as fertilizers such as nitrogen, pesticides and herbicides such as picloram. Different soil types and densities and water depths can affect how deeply and quickly these contaminants can be absorbed into water supplies. A study was conducted in Eddy County in North Dakota to determine if there was any contamination of their water supply and if so how much. The highest contamination amounts were found in test sites 171 and 173.
