dc.description The world grain market experienced substantial growth during the 1970s, but stagnated in the 1980's. Improving logistics and increasing crop diversity even within the same crop may better address the challenge of marketing system. Not only do farmers face exporter competition, they must be awre of trading practices, institutions and policies affecting their market. Australia, Canada, France and the United States are reviewed regarding these and other criteria.
