Title: Window Treatments for Energy Savings in a Cold Climate
Author: Lunde, Helen; Lindley, James A.
Description: In 1984, average windows in a structure offered little insulation value. Several studies on experimental window treatments are reviewed here. Non-bulky roller shades might provide similar heat conserving capabilities as bulkier, less convenient window treatments. Roller shade head conserving capabilities might be doubled if edge sealing devices were installed. Other recommendations are offered.
