dc.description This article concerns itself with the continued downward flow of farm land values in eight farming communities in North Dakota with some mixed results. The years 1981, 1982 and 1983 are compared for the reader. Surveys were conducted asking farmers about their estimates for average quality crop and pasture land in their counties or service areas. Also, they were asked for specific details on farm sales in 1983. Surveys were deemed more accurate than statistical data than actual farm sales data. The characteristics of both buyers and sellers was discussed. The usage of the land before and after the sale were outlined. A prediction of the future in land prices was made.
