dc.description At the time of this article's writing, the Department of Horticulture and Forestry, North Dakota Agricultural Experimental Station, North Dakota State University, announced the naming and release of of new yellow fruited cultivar, tomato, the Dakota Gold ND #44. The article gives a quick rundown on the this variety's characteristics and development. It is the 20th variety to be developed and introduced as the direct result of the tomato breeding program carried on since 1920.
