Title: Deworming Beef Cows and Calves with Fenbendazole: Effect on Weaning Weight of Calves
Author: Anderson, L.; Misek, A.; Blondini, M.; Wohlgemuth, K.
Description: The article reviews a study of calves treated with and those without 'deworming' medications in North Dakota. They wanted to determine if those treated would weigh more than those untreated. There were many confounding variables to effectively determine if across the board that deworming proved effective. In those that had shorter calving seasons, deworming both cows and calves proved to be of much greater benefit. The need for more research taking the myriad of these other variables was cited.
