Section 2: Search the Library Catalog

HerdSearch is a tool designed to search everything the Libraries have access to with one simple search bar. HerdSearch not only searches for books, it searches for DVDs, peer-reviewed articles, theses, and much more. It contains information about library resources like authors, titles and publication information and the full text of eBooks, journal articles, and government documents when available.

Try using HerdSearch when you might otherwise use Google Scholar or a database like Academic Search Premier. While HerdSearch does not completely replace these other resources, we at the Libraries think you will find it a valuable and easy to use tool for your research needs.

Please read the learning objectives and then click here to learn about using HerdSearch.
