Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library

The Klai Juba Wald Architectural StudiesLibrary, a branch of the NDSU Libraries, forwards the libraries’ purpose of cultivating inquiry and curiosity.

Located in downtown Fargo, on the third floor of Klai Hall, the Architectural Studies Library provides access to resources and services to support teaching, learning, and research in architecture, landscape architecture, visual arts, and design.

Equipment for use in the Library: 

  • 75” SMART TV with smart pens and cords to connect a personal laptop
  • 11x17 flatbed scanner

 

The materials collection includes wood, brick, glass, metal, and other product examples for students to use to inform and inspire their designs. 

On loan from Associate Professor of Architecture, Ron Ramsey,  the Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library has architectural drawings on display. Providing examples ranging from student coursework and nationally recognized architects; commercial, religious, and residential buildings; and site and elevation drawings, section details, and renderings.

John R. Klai II, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), founding principle of Klai Juba Wald Architects, distinguished NDSU alumnus (BS ‘77, BA ‘78), and Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters (2018), donated his professional awards and recognitions to the NDSU Libraries. On display at the Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library, they signify John Klai’s considerable achievements and the generosity he has shown to the community and NDSU throughout his career.
