Union Light, Heat, and Power Company
In the summer of 1902, the Union Light Heat & Power Company was organized to acquire and consolidate the small electric and gas companies operating in Fargo. Consumers Power Co. acquired Union in 1910.
The images above illustrate the generators and engines in the company's electric plant (two left images) and the retort room of the gas works (on the right).
The company's office was located at 610-612 NP Avenue. The electric plant was located on the north side of the NP train tracks opposite the NP depot.
