The Interstate Business College (IBC) was founded in August 1916. The picture to the right is taken from a 1925 IBC Souvenir booklet. The building was located at the southwest corner of Roberts Street and Second Avenue North.
The College moved to A.O.U.W. building at 112 Roberts Street when the AOUW built a new building in 1927. See picture from 1943 IBC calendar to the right. The back of the old Post Office can be seen on the left edge of the picture.
The IBC relocated in 1978 to 2720 32nd Avenue South. The financially-troubled College was closed in January 1998.
To the left we see IBC Students in the Office Practices Department. Instructors at IBC in 1925 were F.A. Krupp (penmanship), Esther Arndt, O.C. Yeilman (President), Annie Henderson, F.A. Leonard, and Marion Bullard.
The IBC students also had time for recreation. Shown right are two IBC basketball teams from 1925. I believe the coach was F.A. Krupp, one of the instructors. The players look either very cold or very self-conscious.
Below is the IBC orchestra with F.A. Krupp, Director.
