Silver Tray
Abraham Solow opened the first Silver Tray Cafe at 14 8th Street S. around 1933. By 1935, he had moved to 604 Front Street. The Silver Tray was among the first businesses to gain a liquor license in Fargo in December 1936. Sometime between 1938 and 1940, Abe Solow moved his business to 514 N.P. Avenue. It remained at this location until 1947, when it moved again to 408 Broadway.
In about 1954, the name was changed to the Silver Tray Tavern. Abe Solow sold the business to Louis Hoffman in 1958, and he operated the Silver Tray Tavern at the same location until 1976 when the business closed.
