Commercial Bank of Fargo
The Commercial Bank of Fargo was located on the southwest corner of Front Street (Main Avenue) and Broadway. It occupied the building constructed by the First National Bank in 1879. In June 1904, the Commercial Bank was established with William C. MacFadden as President, F. C. Gardner as Vice-president, and Henry C. Plimpton as Cashier. The bank closed on October 12, 1912, and all of its liabilities were taken over by the Merchants National Bank. The bank was legally dissolved on May 6, 1914.
