The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection, North Dakota State University Libraries, and Prairie Public Television, both of Fargo are pleased to announce events in Arizona and California to premiere the new video documentary, "The Germans from Russia: Children of the Steppe, Children of the Prairie."
The one-hour documentary premiered on Prairie Public Television on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, Feb. 28 from 1-3 p.m. at the Westlake Villa Community Room, 571 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village, Calif., the new one-hour documentary will be shown, followed with a presentation by Michael M. Miller, Germans from Russia Bibliographer, NDSU Libraries, Fargo. The event is sponsored by the Ventura Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, Glueckstal Colonies, Research Association, NDSU Libraries, and Prairie Public TV. On Saturday, March 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Civic Center Library, 3839 Civic Center Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ, there will be a showing of the new documentary, with commentary by Michael M. Miller. The event is sponsored by the Sun Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, NDSU Libraries, and Prairie Public TV.
On Sunday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the NDSU Libraries will sponsor an information display table at the North Dakota Picnic, held in Pioneer Park, Main Street, Mesa, AZ.
