Stuckle plans visit to Bowdle, S.D. 125th celebration with Germans from Russia Heritage Collection displays.

Acacia (Jonas) Stuckle, special collections associate at the NDSU Librariesí Germans from Russia Heritage Collection, will attend the Bowdle, S.D., 125th celebration June 24-25.

The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection will have information tables and displays at the Bowdle Senior Center, 3037 Main St., during the event and Stuckle will be there Friday, June 24, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Since its inception in 1978, NDSU Librariesí Germans from Russia Heritage Collection has become one of the most comprehensive collections of German-Russian resources in the world. The collection has expanded its activities and projects to include audio oral history interviews, clothing and textiles, the Dakota Memories Oral History Project, heritage tours to Ukraine and Germany, online resources, outreach programs, photo archives, publications and translations.
