NDSU Libraries to present Germans from Russia exhibits at Harvey Centennial

The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection (GRHC), NDSU Libraries, Fargo, will be featured at the Harvey Centennial at the Public Library (119 1th St. East) on Friday, June 30 (12 noon-6 pm) and Saturday, July 1 (12 noon-4 pm). Exhibits featuring photographs and maps will be on display as well as information tables about the Germans from Russia history, culture and foodways. Books, maps, videotapes, and cookbooks from GRHC will be available for purchase. Miller will also be available for family research consultation.

Joining the centennial festivities at Harvey will be NDSU Germans from Russia Bibliographer, Michael M. Miller. He is a native of Strasburg. In May of 2006, Miller visited the former German villages near Odessa, Ukraine, with the Journey to the Homeland Tour. He is executive producer of the award-winning "Germans from Russia Documentary Series" of Prairie Public Television.
