Remember When

The Hazen Star, Hazen, North Dakota, April 27, 2006

The sons of John and Elizabeth (Kuch) Miller gather for a photo circa 1915.  Pictured left to right are Edwin, George, Fred, Emil, Henry, Albert, Emanuel and Rudolf.  The family also had three daughters Emma, Rosalie and Anna.  The type of hats or caps worn by the boys indicated their marital status.  A cap indicated a single or eligible young man, while the full brim hat identified a married man.  Photo submitted by Helen Hilz.  The Hazen Star is looking for old-time photos.  Send your photos of people, events and places from Hazen, Stanton, and Mercer County to Remember When, c/o The Hazen Star, PO Box 508, Hazen, N.D. 58545 or drop them off at the Star.  Include names, dates and other information, if known, with the photo.  Photos will be returned.
