The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is pleased to provide this impressive cookbook from the Hazelton Centennial Committee. The cookbook is in a easy stand-up three-ring heavy duty binder with excellent index dividers.

At the end of the cookbook, is a reprint of The Hazelton Ladies Aid Cook Book: A Collection of Tried Recipes Contributed by Hazelton Homemakers, compiled by The Ladies Aid Society of the Presbyterian Church, 1914, and the American Legion Auxiliary Cook Book, 1927.

The "Ethnic, Heirloom, Miscellaneous" section features these German recipes: Blachenda (Plachenda), homemade cottage cheese (Kase), cheese buttons (kase Knoepfa), Smear Kase, pickled pigs feet (Koladez), chicken cream for dunking with chicken feet, dumplings, Fleischkuechle, fry bread, fried pies, Kuchen, sauerkraut Kueckle, porridge (Brei), cold potato salad, potato sausage, pumpkin or cabbage Schlumps, Knoephle dough, Einlauf Suppe, Knoephle soup, and Strudels.
