Borrowing from the Library
The NDSU Libraries offers access to numerous print and electronic resources that can help you with your Apparel, Retail Merchandising, and Design research. At the Main Library on campus, you will find shelves of books and several video resources, which are available to check out with your NDSU Student ID. In order to locate a book or video on the shelf, please use the following tutorials:
- Author and Title Searches : Use this tutorial to locate resources in our library catalog, place a hold, and check availability of the item in our collection. This search will also give you electronic resources that you can access on- and off-campus.
- How to Find a Book on the Shelf : After confirming that your item is available at the library, use this tutorial to locate books and videos on the shelves. The majority of items will be located on the second floor of the Main Library or within the first floor Media Section (next to the Germans from Russia Heritage Collection). Apparel, Retail Merchandising, and Design resources can be found in the GT and TT sections.
If you have any questions about the library resources, please feel free to use the "Ask a Librarian" web chat service on this website or visit the reference desk at the Main Library, located in the first floor computer cluster.
You can also order items from other libraries across the nation and have these items delivered to the NDSU Main Library. Visit the Inter-Library Loan Tutorial for more info on setting up an ILL account.
Below, you will find a selection of new books and other media that have been recently added to the library. Check the spotlight sections for future updates!
