Find Monologues

When you want to find monologues for auditions and class analysis, search the NDSU Libraries Catalog. Use the simple search box to enter monologue AND an additional search term, such as women, men, female, or male.

Find Design Help

The NDSU Libraries contains a number of resources for lighting, costume, scenery, and interior design work. Our science and engineering resources in the NDSU Libraries Catalog may help you with your design work. You can also use the online databases and websites in the Technical Design section below (more resources coming soon).

NDSU Libraries has a 3D Printing Makerspace located at the Main Library. If you need to craft a unique property or scenic element, the Makerspace may be your on-campus solution.

Find Performances

In the Library

To find films of live performances in the library, search the NDSU Libraries catalog. Using the simple search box enter the name of the playwright and the words film adaptation, after the search has been completed use the facets on the left side to limit the resource type to video, videos, bluray, or DVD. This will return films of live performances that can be checkout from the library.

For example, search for "Shakespeare film adaptations" and then select the Resource Types: audio-visual, DVD, video, and videos. Select "Apply Filters" and your search will now be limited to video productions of Shakespeare film adaptations.
