Excellence at the Libraries

As we wrap up academic year 2020-21, we’d like to highlight some NDSU Libraries staff members for their accomplishments and reiterate sincere compliments to all who have been previously recognized for their achievements this past year. Please join us in congratulating them!

Hallie Pritchett, Associate Dean of Libraries for Research and Learning, was honored in this year's NDSU Celebration of Excellence for securing a grant from The NDSU Foundation for a digital scholarship lab on the upper level of the Main Library. The new lab will further the Libraries’ innovative efforts as it fosters multidisciplinary research and collaboration. More information will be released this summer.

In their 33rd Annual Employee Recognition Program, the Office of Human Resources acknowledged three of our colleagues for reaching their five-year work anniversaries: Kim Dienslake, Accounting Technician; Maddison Melquist, Humanities Librarian; and Steve Jeffery, Engineering Librarian. We are so glad to have them with us and thank them for their dedication!

The Dean’s Excellence Award was established in 2020 to recognize the outstanding contributions of staff in support of the Libraries’ mission and vision. The recipients have displayed exceptional efforts and dedication in their work at the Libraries while exemplifying its established values.

The inaugural recipient of the Dean's Excellence Award in 2020 was Adam Elznic, Emerging Technologies Coordinator. Dean of Libraries Joe Mocnik stated, “Adam worked tirelessly during the pandemic using laser technology and 3D printers to produce cloth medical masks and plastic face shields for local health care providers. He has made numerous collaborative and creative accomplishments with the Digital Fabrication Lab and is well-deserving of this recognition.”

Our 2021 recipient is Lindsay Condry, Marketing and Programs Coordinator. Dean Mocnik stated, “Lindsay has generously used her talents to help bring awareness to the Libraries on campus. Through the implementation of a strategic marketing plan, regular communication that promotes our services, resources, and activities, and various efforts to enhance the appearance of the Main Library and our branches, she has made a significant contribution to NDSU Libraries.”

We are so thankful to all our staff at NDSU Libraries for their expansive efforts to help further our mission to energize and advance research, teaching, and learning in an evolving information environment.
