National Library Week
March 24, 2021

The theme for National Library Week (April 4-10, 2021), “Welcome to Your Library,” promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building. During the pandemic libraries have been going above and beyond to adapt to our changing world by expanding their resources and continuing to meet the needs of their users. Whether people visit in person or virtually, libraries offer opportunities for everyone to explore new worlds and become their best selves through access to technology, multimedia content, programs, and spaces. In honor of this celebration, we are highlighting each of NDSU Libraries' branches to give a bit of insight on what each of them has to offer. To learn more about digital content at NDSU Libraries, see last year's theme, Find the Library at Your Place.

Main Library

The NDSU Main Library serves as a dynamic intellectual intersection of campus where the university community comes together to study, research, explore, and share ideas and knowledge. You can find it on the south side of campus. Visit today to ask for help from a librarian, get creative in the Digital Fabrication Lab, reserve a study room, and explore resources.

Business Learning Center

The Business Learning Center, located in Richard H. Barry Hall, offers a convenient location for business and agribusiness students, staff, and faculty to get help with research, study, work on group projects, access computers and printers, and checkout books and other materials.

Germans from Russia Heritage Collection

The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection is a specialized archive that houses one of the most comprehensive collections of German-Russian primary and secondary sources in the world. Its resources, activities, and projects include audio oral history interviews, online resources, photograph and manuscript archives, clothing and textiles, translation and publishing, educational outreach programs, and ancestral heritage tours to Ukraine and Germany. Find it in the Main Library.

Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library

The Architectural Studies Library, located in Klai Hall, primarily serves the students and faculty of the School of Design, Architecture and Art. In addition to traditional library services and collections, this branch library also offers equipment and camera checkout, a building materials collection, and several framed architectural drawings to contemplate with curiosity and interest.

NDSU Archives

At the West Building you can find the NDSU Archives which supports the historical research needs of students, faculty, staff, and the community. The Archives collects, preserves, and provides access to historically significant documents pertaining to North Dakota and NDSU.

Health Sciences Library

The Health Sciences Library serves users in the College of Health Professions at their point of need, whether in Fargo, at the Bismarck Nursing campus, or online at a distance. Our friendly staff in Bismarck and Fargo are available to help patrons navigate and use print and electronic resources to help with their research or patient care needs.

Each of our branches plays a vital role in our mission to energize and advance research, teaching, and learning in an evolving information environment. We appreciate all the support from the students, faculty, and community, and we look forward to continued growth and collaboration!
