dc.description.abstract | This project studies the history and evolution and its move from being solely a social connection tool to a viable business tool. The research will draw primarily from secondary research of different social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, and Pinterest. The research will come from a variety of scholarly articles that will teach about the history of these sites, but will focus on their recent use in the business world as an advertising tool. The project will also be supplemented by various interviews of people that are actively using social media as a tool in their workplace. Seeing as social media is a fairly new phenomenon, the research will come primarily from the last decade. | en_US |
