Articleen_US
The author informs the reader of the gravity of wheat stem sawflies as these weaken the stems of wheat plants causing them to collapse, which results in lost heads of grain. A 1944 survey on the topic of sawfly infestations in North Dakota was detailed in this article. In addition, the stems of small grains were examined for sawflies in 1946 and 1947 on the North Central Experiment Station plots at Minot.
