dc.description | From 1942-47, North Dakota produced 18% of the barley grown in the U.S. With increased production of flax seed, the need for finding new markets to sell such are highlighted. The U.S. market for flax is reviewed. There were periodic shortages of good grade malting barley during this time. There was a good forecast for North Dakota malting barley. | |
