Articleen_US
This is a history of the advent of camels into the U.S. landscape. They were imported by future U.S. President Jefferson Davis, who was Secretary of War at this time, in order to secure the transportation of arms and supplies due to problems with Native Americans. This was a failure. Eventually all of these imported camels died one by one.
