dc.description.abstract | A survey of five counties in North Dakota from 1900 to 1944 is made comparing full land ownership by farmers vs tenants. In 1900, 75% of farms were owned by those farming them. Whereas, only little over 25% of farms were owned by those farming them in 1940. Yet, crop incomes increased the same time frame. | |
