Hog Production in Relation to Corn-Hog Ratio and Feed Production in North Dakotaen_US
Articleen_US
In 1947, hog production in North Dakota was an important enterprise comprising roughly 15% of the total livestock. The increasing importance of corn production in the state would result in greater attention to the production of hogs for the marketplace. When growing conditions are favorable, this has a marked effect on feed production. This relationship between favorable corn production and swine production is discussed in this article.
