dc.description | Mushv" chick or poult disease is a term used to describe chicks and poults that fail to eliminate water so that fluid accumulates in the tissues. They are apparently healthy until just before their deaths. When the skin is opened, a jelly-like substance lays just under the surface of the skin. When and when penetrated, this fluid flows out. This article goes on to give further information regarding this disease. Recommendations were made such as the avoidance of salt or salty waters to water chicks and poults. | |
