A Forced-Air System for Poultry House Ventilationen_US
Articleen_US
This is an evaluation of three forced-air systems designed for poultry house ventilation. In early 1945, three identical poultry house units were installed each with different ventilation systems. A description of the houses and the forced-air systems were given. Data were taken on temperature, air flow, egg production mortality, feed consumption, body weight and egg hatched. It was discovered that the forced-air ventilated pens showed a much, lower mortality. This was probably due to the fact that no floor drafts occurred in the fan-ventilated houses.
