Progress Report on Performance of Experimental Single Cross Corn Hybrids in North Dakotaen_US
Articleen_US
The article presents grain yields of experimental corn hybrids grown at five different sites in 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972 are presented along with agronomic data obtained in 1971 and 1972. The hybrids consisted of two groups, an early group and a late group. The performance of experimental single cross corn hybrids is of considerable interest to individuals and companies interested in developing commercial hybrids. The data presented was believed to be of use to seedsmen and plant breeders interested in development of various types of hybrids adapted to North Dakota or areas with comparable environmental conditions, and of general interest to corn grain producers.
