dc.description | The article is regarding beef cow production on irrigated pasture land in North Dakota. In 1973, the state had an approximate 75,000 acres of irrigated acres, which was an increase. A 1971 study at the Fort Yates, North Dakota on Standing Rock Sioux Tribe land, was conducted to help determine the potential of irrigated pasture in the state. Pasture establishment and management, soils and irrigation; and animal management are discussed. The article on how these lands affect cattle weight gain. | |
