dc.descriptionThis article concerns how the Willston Branch Experiment Station established in 1907 ended up in 1951 being of an oil discovery in the Willston Basin. It was decided the Experiment Station needed to be relocated outside this area. In 1952, they proposed that it would be relocated to on land held by the state of North Dakota. The entire process from the closing the old station and the creation of the new one is given in this article.
