Progress Report on Hybrid Corn Grain Yields at Oakesen_US
Articleen_US
This paper reports corn grain yields obtained at Oakes, using good cultural techniques along with irrigation. The yields of the single, three-way and double cross hybrids are compared. In conclusion, the data indicate that the increased yields of specific single cross hybrids with irrigation at Oakes justify their production in preference to the three-way and double cross hybrids tested despite higher seed cost of single cross seed.
